Biography
Dr. Abdulaziz Alhemeiri is a Specialist Nephrologist with over eight years of medical experience, including advanced specialist training in nephrology and renal transplantation. He completed his Nephrology Residency and Diploma of Specialized Studies (DES) in Nephrology at Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier and CHU Rangueil in France, where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic kidney diseases, dialysis therapies, hypertension, critical care nephrology, and post-transplant care.
Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, Dr. Alhemeiri served as a Nephrology Resident Physician at CHU Rangueil, France. During his training, he developed expertise in the management of complex nephrological conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerular diseases, nephrotic syndrome, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, and renal replacement therapies. He also completed advanced subspecialty training in renal transplantation and gained significant exposure to dialysis services, intensive care nephrology, and multidisciplinary patient management.
Dr. Alhemeiri is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care and supporting patients throughout their kidney health journey. He has also contributed to medical research at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). In addition, he completed a clinical internship in the Hematology Department at Hokkaido University Hospital, Japan.
