Dr. Eiman Abdelrahman

Dr. Eiman graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, in 1991. She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine Residency Programme at the State University of New York, USA, between 1998 and 2001. Dr. Abdelrahman then undertook her Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Kentucky, USA, between 2001 and 2003. 

Dr. Eiman has been recognised for her clinical excellence and contributions to the field of Endocrinology, including receiving The Pfizer Scholars in Endocrinology Award in 2002 and being listed in the Central Indiana Top Physician List in September 2005. She currently serves as the Lead for the Thyroid Fine Needle Biopsy Clinic, a role she has held since 2016, demonstrating her continued commitment to advanced thyroid care and diagnostic excellence. 

Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre (ICLDEC), Dr. Abdelrahman served as Consultant Physician and Head of Internal Medicine at Al Ain Military Medical Centre, United Arab Emirates, from November 2008 to September 2011. She previously worked as Consultant Physician and Head of the Endocrinology and Diabetes Division at Al Ain Hospital, United Arab Emirates, from August 2006 to August 2008, and as Consultant Endocrinologist with Community Physician of Indiana Medical Group in Indianapolis, USA, from October 2003 to July 2006. 

Scope of Practice 

Dr. Eiman’s scope of practice includes general endocrinology, thyroid and parathyroid disease, thyroid cancer, obesity, metabolic bone disease, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes including gestational diabetes, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
