Biography
UK-trained Dr. Heba El-Gayar has a particular interest in diabetes and thyroid disease in pregnancy as well as a passion for medical education. Before coming to the UAE, Dr. El-Gayar was a consultant in Kingston Hospital in the UK.
Dr. Heba joined Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre in 2012 where she has since helped to launch and develop ICLDEC 's diabetes and endocrinology fellowship which aims to train the UAE’s next generation of diabetologists and endocrinologists to be able to tackle the growing diabetes prevalence in the UAE.
