Biography
Dr. Iman Esmat is a Specialist Cardiologist at the Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre (ICLDEC), providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with a particular focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of heart disease in patients with diabetes and other metabolic conditions. She has extensive experience in managing complex cardiovascular disorders and delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Dr. Esmat graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She subsequently completed both a Master of Science (MSc) in Cardiology and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Cardiology.
Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, Dr. Esmat spent more than a decade practising in Abu Dhabi, at renowned hospitals such as Medeor Hospital, Healthpoint Hospital, and Reem Hospital. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in developing cardiology services and improving access to specialised cardiovascular care.
