Biography
Dr. Injila has more than 11 years of specialist experience in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.
Dr. Injila obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 2006. She then completed post-graduate medical education and training in Internal Medicine from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, UK where she did her MRCP in 2012. She then joined Durham and Tees Valley Training Programme (Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust), UK, for her Family Medicine Training and obtained Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice in 2017. She then joined Normanby Medical Centre, UK as a Consultant Family Physician and became a partner in 2018.
Dr. Injila completed Master of Science in Aesthetic Medicine from Queen Mary University of London, UK, in 2018 and provided various aesthetic and skincare treatments. Dr. Injila is also a GMC recognised trainer and was appointed as a General Physician (GP) trainer by Health Education England in 2021 and turned her medical centre into a training practice and has since trained several trainee GPs. She was nominated for the best trainer award in 2023 and has been a part of several quality improvement projects. Dr. Injila is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since 2017, and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom since 2012.
Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, Dr. Injila worked as Consultant Family Physician at Normanby Medical Centre, UK, where she was also a partner.
