Biography
Dr. Denour has over 38 years of medical experience in Radiology.
Dr. Denour obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Aleppo Medical School, Syria, before completing a Certificat d’Études Spécialisées (CES) in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Medicine, Nancy, France. He further pursued a Diplôme Universitaire (DU) in Ultrasonography at the University Hospital and Medical School, Nancy, France.
Dr. Denour has played a vital role in developing radiology services across Abu Dhabi, including contributing to the establishment and success of the full Radiology Department at Oasis Hospital (now Kanad Hospital). He has also been entrusted with the examination of many VIPs from the Abu Dhabi royal family.
Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, Dr. Denour worked for seven years as Department Head and later Assistant Chief in a 1,000-bed hospital in the Cornouaille region, France. He then served six years as a Consultant and Chief of the Ultrasound Section at Tawam Hospital, followed by 10 years as Department Head at Kanad Hospital. He has also held leadership positions in radiology departments at Cromwell Hospital and Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Denour’s scope of practice includes all diagnostic radiological examinations offered at Imperial College London Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, with a particular focus on ultrasonography and Doppler studies, and a special interest in thyroid ultrasonography and fine needle aspirations (FNAs).
